Are there any security deposits?+
Yes, there is a deposit of $500. That can be placed on a card or done via cash. Upon the return of the vehicle, we release that hold or give you back your original cash.
Minor scuffs and scrapes (which are relatively inexpensive to repair) are billed to you directly on the payment card you use to make the reservation, or would also be covered under a full coverage insurance policy. Supplemental damage waivers are available as well.
Are there any taxes?+
Yes. You will see the tax cost associated in your booking total (tourism taxes, sales taxes, etc.).
How does it work?+
Pick a Slingshot, pay for the rental, get your coverage and enjoy.
How many miles do I get with my rental?+
Unlimited.
Unlimited miles must be used within a 100-mile radius of Las Vegas. Need to go further? Just ask your agent — we offer mileage extensions so you can visit the Grand Canyon, Zion, and more.
Rentals are not allowed to travel to Mexico — no exceptions.
Is there a military discount?+
Yes. All military personnel, active and retired, receive 10% off. Thank you for serving our country.
What is the cancellation policy?+
At Vegas Slingshot Rentals, we aim to provide flexibility for our customers while protecting the availability of our unique vehicles. Slingshot rentals require a $100 minimum prepayment.
30+ days before pickup: receive a full refund of your deposit/prepayment. 15–29 days before pickup: your deposit/prepayment will be converted into a store credit of equal value — store credit never expires and can be used toward any future rental. Within 14 days of pickup: deposits/prepayments are non-refundable and not transferable.
Reservations made within 72 hours of the pickup date are non-refundable, unless canceled by the end of the business day on which the reservation was made.
Failure to pick up your reserved Slingshot without prior cancellation will result in the forfeiture of your deposit/prepayment.
Drivers who appear intoxicated, hungover, or unfit to drive will be allowed to transfer their rental to a different, safer time slot based on availability. Absolutely no refunds are given to impaired drivers, at our full discretion. The safety of others is our top priority.
Are there any group discounts?+
Yes. We have corporate event packages available upon request for reservations of 6 rentals or more. Please contact our reservations team for more information.
How old do I have to be to rent a Slingshot?+
To rent a Slingshot you must be 21 or older.
Can I pay with cash?+
No. Reserving a Slingshot in advance requires full payment up front, and a credit card must be put on file for any damages or fines collected.
Are there any penalties for late returns?+
Yes. Returning a rental after the specified time results in a $250 late fee plus a proration amount.
Are there any speed restrictions or governors?+
No. However, you are required to follow all state and federal laws and we encourage you to drive responsibly.
Are there hourly rentals?+
Yes. The minimum rental period is 1 hour and the maximum rental period is 7 days. Need to rent for more than 7 days? Let us know.
Can I book a Slingshot for someone else?+
Yes. Reservations need to match the name on the payment card, however, you can add additional drivers.
Can I book Slingshot rentals online?+
Yes. Our booking runs on a secure and encrypted online booking system.
Do I have to have a driver's license?+
Yes. You are required to have a valid state driver's license, and it cannot be in a suspended or revoked state. International driver's licenses are not required.
Do you accept walk-ins?+
Yes, although Slingshots are generally booked weeks in advance.
How early should I show up for my rental?+
20 minutes before your rental start time.
What else do you rent besides Slingshots?+
Plenty. We rent custom Jeep Wranglers and the Grand Cherokee Laredo X through our sister brand Vegas Jeep Rentals, and 15-passenger Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit vans through Vegas Van Rentals — same office, same team.
